We celebrated the passage of the bill that makes April the official Arab Heritage Month in Oregon, the second state in the US to permanently recognize Arab American Heritage Month - Illinois being the first. Yussef Fakih, Vice President, as well as AACCO’s Board Members spearheaded this effort with the support and dedication of Representative Anna Williams, and Oregon Governor Kate Brown signed into law House Bill 2914 which declares April of each year as Arab American Heritage Month.
